Prayer Bytes

Inspirational “prayer bytes” welcome

I wrote the following sentence, in an e mail to friends of ours, who are of The Baptist Faith and they e mailed back to say how much they liked the sentence. I’m not sure if this sentence can be attributed to me as it just came to me as I was writing the  e mail and trying to find something encouraging to say to my friends.
“Prayer is one of the most valuable resources that’s available to us as Christians.”
I don’t like taking credit for an inspiration that came from God.Steve
This is a quote from his e mail
“I am happy to say I have cancelled my surgery that was set for Tuesday– my knee has been very good,  and I am sleeping very well again,  no meds either.  So I agree,  God does answer prayer and He is so good to us.”

A Sinner’s Prayer

God, I acknowledge that I am a sinner in need of Your forgiveness.  I believe that You sent Jesus to die on the cross as payment for my sin, and that you raised Him from the dead.  I desire to turn from my sin, and I receive Jesus Christ as my Saviour.  I surrender my life into Your hands.  From this day forward, I ask your Holy Spirit to enable me to live a life that is pleasing to You and in obedience to Your will.  This I pray in Jesus’ name.  Amen.

Inspirational prayer bytes welcome

God is never further than a prayer away

Our loved ones may spurn our appeals, reject our message, oppose our arguments, despise our persons-but they are helpless against our prayers.

Prayer is the bridge between panic and peace

Inconvenient Prayer Time

Is there such a thing as an inconvenient prayer time? We are considering starting a Men’s prayer group at what we are calling an inconvenient time. The time could be early morning before men go to work or on a saturday morning when  most men are off and have other plans. We are trying to decide if we would call an unexpected prayer meeting instead of setting a scheduled date and time. We are praying about it.

We have decided to meet at 7:00 am on sunday. We have an average of eight men who attend regularly.  It’s been over a year now and we are being blessed.
